ArthuBorn in Paris in 1981, Arthur De Laforcade is a multidisciplinary self taught artist whose rich and varied artistic career testifies to his passion for art in all its forms. In France, , he began his artistic career on the streets of Paris, painting the streets and subways under the name DISTIK in 1997.

Over the years, he developed his own style, mixing influences from graffiti, abstract expressionism, contemporary Chinese art and African art. After spending 5 years in Cotonou, Benin, where he worked as an illustrator and taught graffiti to children at the Zinsou Foundation, Arthur broadened his horizons by traveling throughout Asia and Oceania for another 5 years especially in Vietnam and Philippines. Based in Brisbane since 2019, he explores new artistic techniques and mediums, drawing inspiration from the urban landscapes and human interactions that surround him.
